Biography
Cosimo di Miceli is born in Corleone, the son of Giuseppe di Miceli and Lucia Cammarata, who married in 1847. He is named after his paternal grandfather, as is traditional for the first born son.
Cosimo marries Marianna Gulotta, daughter of the late Nicolo' Gulotta and the living Bernarda Caputo, on 17 January 1875. His father has died by this time.[1]
Marianna and Cosimo have at least three children: Giuseppe (1878), Frances, and Lucy.[2]
Giuseppe is born 2 March 1878 in Corleone and baptized the next day. His godparents are Leoluca Grizzaffi and Lucia Labruzzo, a married couple.[3]
The family emigrates at an unknown date and settles in Morgan City, LA.[2]
